This special bulletin is being brought to you, courtesy of insomnia and a mis-press of my fingers on the television remote. Just a few moments ago, I was preparing to turn in for the evening and was flipping stations to the Food Network. You know how sometimes you’re so used to pressing certain buttons on the [...] Living in New England has afforded me the opportunity to become intimately familiar with some pretty outstanding weather-related phenomena. I was around for the Blizzard of ‘78 (please reference my post about the humiliating disappointment that was our last Nor’Easter), the letdown that was “Hurricane Gloria” and the sadly accurate No Name Storm, which took [...] That is the picture of my cat, Aqua … she’s sitting in a plastic shopping bag from the mall as though she were a gift for Christmas. Which we all know is a lie because she’s an unholy terror when she wants to be. I apologize for the quality of the photo but apparently [...] I had an interesting thought this evening as I watched the news … Massachusetts is on tap to get our first official Nor’Easter of the Winter of 09. The weathermen are as giddy as a cocksucker at a strapon convention, as though they finally have some sense of purpose instead of predicting foul weather in [...] |
